“HARU stuck-on design;” wins the 2017 Red Dot Award for Product Design

NITOMS INC. (Head office: Tokyo, President: Futoshi Tanaka, hereafter, “Nitoms”), which is a subsidiary of Nitto Denko Corporation (Head office: Osaka, President: Hideo Takasaki, hereafter, “Nitto”), has received the 2017 Red Dot Award for Product Design, one of the most authoritative design awards in the world, for its “HARU stuck-on design;” “space designing tape” which can be applied to a surface and peeled off again. The Nordrhein Westfalen Design Center in Germany, selects recipients of the Red Dot Award, which is given to products and services with outstanding design or communication design.
The “HARU stuck-on design;” space designing tape is a masking tape that makes use of Nitto’s adhesive technology and rarely leaves glue traces behind after being applied and removed. It is available in a wide range of colors and sizes, and can be used to add color to walls and floors simply by applying it. It has even been praised for its high quality of design and functionality at the 2016 and 2017 Milano Salone exhibition.
Nitoms has been expanding consumer goods business within the Nitto Group, which provides products directly to consumers, thus bringing “comfort” and “pleasure” to their lives. Under the brand slogan "Innovation for Customers," Nitto continues its efforts to create value in the Green (environment), Clean (new energy), and Fine (life sciences) domains.
