Nitto Denko Himawari Corporation 20th Anniversary Greetings

Nitto Denko Himawari Corporation (hereinafter, “Nitto Denko Himawari”) was established within the Nitto Denko Corporation Toyohashi Plant based on the idea of “creating a workplace where persons with disabilities and the elderly can work lively”. Nitto Denko Himawari commemorates its 20th anniversary on October 18th, 2020.

When it was founded, the company only had 25 employees, 15 of whom having disabilities, and started off processing adhesive tapes. It subsequently added numerous other businesses, including printing, cleaning, landscaping, and laundry service. The company has now grown into a group company of six sites in Japan (Saitama, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Osaka, and Hiroshima) with a total of 251 employees (180 people with disabilities). Nitto Denko Himawari employees apply and develop their various skills which build up every Nikko Denko Group employee’s pride.

I would like to express my deep appreciation to everyone who support us, including educational institutions such as special needs schools, employment assistance institutions who assist our employees on a daily basis, the local governments and administrative agencies.

By continually emphasizing on the significance of accumulating their daily experiences and based on the principle of “Contribute to customers’ value creation with innovative ideas”, Nitto Denko Himawari challenges to develop “straight and strong”, just like its name (“himawari” is sunflower in Japanese).

We hope that you will continue to support the Nitto Denko Himawari.
