Flexible Angular Sensor / Flexible Sensor

This is a flexible sensor with excellent flexibility and stretchability that can measure bending, such as joint angles, of the human body.
・Rehabilitation/Sports:For joint angle measurement, etc.
・Infrastructure:For detecting distortion of buildings, etc.

Features

  • Angle and elongation can be measured constantly, in real time, and over a long period of time.
  • It can be used for wearable devices.
  • Because it can be built in and integrated, it can follow and deform with the object.
  • Even when implemented on a moving object, it can accurately measure bending and elongation without speed dependency.

Properties

  • Accuracy: Angle (±1.0°), elongation (±0.5mm)
  • Durability: 180 degree bending > 1 million times (1Hz)(1Hz)
  • Environmental temperature: -50 to 100°C with no signal degradation
  • Sampling rate: 1-200Hz*Reference

Lineup

  • 1-Axis Sensor
  • 1-Axis Evaluation Kit
  • 2-Axis Sensor
  • 2-Axis Evaluation Kit
  • Combined Evaluation Kit

Applications

  • Measurement of joint angles during rehabilitation
  • Measurement of joint angles during sports/training
  • Detection of deformation in bridges, buildings, tunnels, etc.
  • Detection of bending and stretching in mobile and household devices
  • Detection of deformation in automobile chassis and bodies
  • Monitoring and anomaly detection of industrial robot movements
  • Detection of finger movements in VR gloves

How to use

["WebApp" Connection procedure]
※The WebApp is a connection website for using the sensor after purchasing the Evaluation Kit (common for 1-Axis and 2-Axis).
  • 1.Connect the battery to the sensor board and turn the power ON. (※Press and hold the button until it blinks twice to turn it ON)
  • 2.Access the WebApp (Link: Web APP )
  • 3.Tap "Connect Sensor"
  • 4.Tap "ads_eval_kit"
  • 5."Connected" is displayed. (※You can connect two devices at the same time by repeating this process)
