Active participation of people with disabilities

In addition to providing support so that each person with a disability can work happily and enthusiastically just like others, Nitto Group established the special subsidiary Himawari Group at six sites and research centers in Japan so that “people with disabilities can live an independent work life.” (Six sites at four companies as of September 2023.)

In addition to continuing to employ local people with disabilities at each site, we closely partner with their families, special needs schools, support organizations, the government, local residents, and parties related to Nitto to hire and retain these employees.

Nitto Group aims to continue to work with Himawari Group to create workplaces in which everyone, whether or not they have a disability, can happily and enthusiastically play an active role.
"Himawari" is sunflower in Japanese.
