Nitto Denko Corporation (headquarter: Osaka, Japan; President: Hideo Takasaki; hereinafter Nitto), aiming to conserve biodiversity, is pleased to announce its support for the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD*1), and its commitment to disclosing nature-related financial information in alignment with the TNFD framework. Nitto has also registered as a TNFD Adopter.
The Nitto Group regards conserving biodiversity as one of its key environmental challenges in pursuit of a sustainable environment and society. We consider contributing to a nature-positive*2 future to be an important social responsibility. In line with this commitment, we have adopted the LEAP*3 approach recommended by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) to assess the dependencies and impacts of our business activities on nature*4, as well as to identify related risks and opportunities. Based on these assessments, we disclose nature-related financial information in accordance with the TNFD framework*5. Moving forward, we will implement measures to mitigate identified risks and enhance opportunities.
