Efforts to Environmental task

• We promote the use of renewable energy by introducing solar power generation equipment to Nitto’s plants and group companies.
• We invest to save energy for air-conditioning and install LED lights, and implement actively including the promotion of energy conservation at the production process, electrification in the production process, and to zero for elimination of CO2 emitted while combusting solvent gases at the production.
• In order to reduce a large amount of CO2 emissions generated by combusting solvent gases, we are introducing solvent recovery systems. Recovery of solvents not only helps us to curb CO2 emissions but also put resources to efficient use.

• At the Toyohashi Plant’s Recycling Promotion Center, we process plastic waste from our manufacturing process into pellets, which are recycled into roll cores and trays and more, to promote resource circulation within the company.
• Using water resources efficiently, or as a measure to minimize the impact on business activities even if water supply is restricted due to bad weather etc. we effort recycling wastewater by combining technologies for evaporative concentration and volume reduction with our proprietary reverse osmosis (RO) membrane.
