Computers and Teaching Materials Donated to Elementary Schools and Police Departments in Thailand

Nitto Denko Material (Thailand) Co., Ltd. respects the education of children and the interests of the local community. As part of this, on September 11, 2020, the company donated teaching materials and 77 second-hand computers worth 251,000 Thai baht to two local elementary schools and five local police departments.

Relief Supplies Provided to Typhoon-Stricken Areas in the Philippines

In October and November of 2020, three typhoons hit the Philippines in quick succession, causing serious damage. Nitto Denko (Philippines) Corp. used the prize money won from the FY2020 Group Awards to purchase relief supplies, and donated food and daily necessities to 220 families in the Province of Rizal, which was hit particularly hard.

Medical Masks Donated in Munich, Germany

Germany has been on lockdown since mid-November 2020, and medical masks have been mandatory on public transportation and in commercial facilities since the beginning of the year. Under these circumstances, Nitto Deutschland GmbH donated 1,000 medical masks made with TEMISH (a Nitto product) to Japan Club München, the München Japanese Kindergarten, and the Japanische Internationale Schule (Japanese International School) München.

Donations Made to Special Needs School in Mexico for Sixth Consecutive Year

Nitto Denko Automotive de Mexico, S. DE R.L. DE C.V. and Nitto Denko DE Mexico, S. DE R.L. DE C.V. collected donations from employees and presented letters and gifts to Pueblo Nuevo Special Education School on December 17, 2020. This activity is called the “Blue Santa Project” and this year marks its sixth year. While the usual exchange event was skipped to prevent the spread of COVID-19, four staff members from the Human Resources Dept. visited the school and delivered the donations to a student representative.

Donation to the European Environmental Bureau

On January 7, 2021, EUR 1,500 was donated to the European Environmental Bureau (EEB), the largest environmental civic group in Europe, through a campaign conducted in the Nitto Group’s EMEA Region. The donation was based on the number of participants in the annual customer satisfaction survey and the number of entries in the in-house photo contest, with additional personal donations. The donation will be used to promote environmental conservation and other initiatives.
