Features

This is an adhesive sheet that can be easily debonded by applying a voltage. Strongly bonded, and cleanly debondable with electricity without heating and using liquids. It is used by sandwiching the adhesive sheet between conductive materials (electrodes) such as aluminum or stainless steel. Since the adhesive sheet can be easily debond by applying voltage, it is well-suited for recycling.

Properties

The surface condition of the adhesive is controlled by applying voltage. In the initial state without applying voltage, the release components are highly compatible into the adhesive. Once we apply the voltage, the release components segregate to the surface, reducing the interfacial adhesion and allowing it to be peeled off.

Applications

The adhesive sheet can be debonded from hard or fragile components without causing damage, making it suitable for fixing expensive components or easily breakable components. In addition, by applying voltage only to specific areas, it is possible to debond only the desired parts, making it applicable within manufacturing processes. It can also meet reuse and recycling needs such as smartphone batteries.
