EU REACH

These products are regarded as articles under REACH. No chemical substances are contained that are intended to be released under Regulation No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and the Council concerning the Registration, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH). These products are not regarded as chemical preparations. Therefor they are not subject to the registration process under REACH. 

REACH SVHC & Annex XIV

Double coated tape Nitto no. 500 contains dicyclohexyl phthalate (CAS 84-61-7) in a concentration above 0.1%. Other articles are not known to contain Substances of Very High Concern identified by article 59 of REACH in a concentration >0.1% by weight. This declaration reflects the substances on the SVHC Candidate List, as amended on June 25th, 2020. No substances included in Annex XIV are contained either.

REACH Annex XVII

For those SPVs where an Annex XVII substance is contained, Nitto is compliant with the conditions of the restriction as described in REACH Annex XVII. Go to top

 

Conflict Minerals

Following substances are not contained: Tin (Sn), Tungsten (W), Tantalum (Ta), Gold (Au).
The content was determined by X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer and/or Information obtained from raw material suppliers.

Packaging Directive and packaging Waste Directive

The products and their packaging are conforming the European Directives 94/62/EC and 2004/12/EC. The total incidental concentration level of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and Hexavalent Chromium is not above 100 ppm.

These products do not contain PVC (CAS 9002-86-2).

Nanomaterials

Nano particles (microscopic particles with dimensions less than 100 nm) are not intentionally added, used in the production process or declared by any of the raw material suppliers.

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons as described in regulation 2005/69/EC (PAHs) are not intentionally added, used in the production process or declared by any of the raw material suppliers.

Phthalate free

Substances listed on Annex I and Annex II of directive 2019/1021/EC of the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants are not intentionally added, used in the production process or declared by any of the raw material suppliers.

The content was determined by X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (detection limit min. 5 ppm for Heavy Metals and Bromine, min. 10 ppm for other elements) and/or

For Hexavalent Chromium: by Colorimetric Method using UV-Vis: detection limit min. 2 ppm.

Products can be recycled and destroyed according to local and national legislation.
Plastic, paper and wooden packaging material can be recycled.

Good Manufacturing Practice

Nitto Belgium NV has implemented and maintains a management system which fulfils the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standard. A reference sample of the product is stored for 10 years. (12 months in conditioned room, and 9 years in warehouse.)
